Volunteer Support Coordinator

Salary £24,000

35 hours per week – based in Edinburgh

Poppyscotland provides life-changing support for the Armed Forces community. We reach out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families at times of crisis and need by offering vital, practical advice, assistance and funding. The main funding for this support is achieved by the Scottish Poppy Appeal.

We are seeking to recruit a Volunteer Support Coordinator whose primary responsibility will be to recruit, develop and support volunteers across Scotland to maximise their value to the organisation whilst ensuring volunteers have a positive volunteering experience. Occasional travel and working outwith normal office hours may be required.

Outreach Project & Learning Officer

Salary £25,000

35 hours per week – Based in Glasgow initially then Scotland-wide

Poppyscotland provides life-changing support to our Armed Forces community. We reach out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families by offering vital practical advice, assistance and funding.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Learning Outreach Officer to help establish the Moving Poppy Project – a mobile unit, utilising innovative technology to deliver Poppyscotland learning resources to schools, youth groups and the community across Scotland.

The postholder will initially be based in the Glasgow Office and will help establish the Moving Poppy Project taking it from the planning to delivery stage. They will also be responsible for designing appropriate learning resources for use on board the vehicle. Thereafter the postholder will be jointly responsible for planning, publicising and delivering the learning experiences across Scotland. Holidays may be restricted and occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
