Poppyscotland's Education Project will continue to grow in 2010.

Following the success of Sowing the Poppy seed - Poppyscotland’s Education Project we are continuing to grow our education project in 2010 with the following developments.

• A new education film aimed at young people called ‘The Journey’. The film is a good starting point for debate about the First World War and conflict in general.

• Updated DVD sent to every school and college in Scotland in early September 2010. The DVD features seven new films and subtitles in English and Gaelic to accompany and support the education material available on our website.

• Poppy Poetry - Poppyscotland’s Education Competition 2010 featuring new stimulus material and extended to older children and adults in further or higher education.

• A new set of four education posters will arrive with every school and college in Scotland in early September 2010.

• New materials for young people aged 14 plus. This includes new planning documents, challenges and teacher’s notes.

• Materials linked to the growing of poppies from seeds. Promotional packets of poppy seeds are available to order from our website.

• Updated planning documents for teachers and lecturers linked to Curriculum for Excellence.
