Poppyscotland takes part in its first 'Glow meet' during Poppy week.

On 10th November 2010 Poppyscotland took part in a 'Glow meet'. The meet was part of World of Work Wednesdays and organised by Learning and Teaching Scotland. The focus was on the skills required to work in a charity. Taking part in the live webchat were our Chief Executive Ian McGregor, our Head of Fundraising Colin M Flinn, our Charitable Services Co-ordinator Dot Pringle and our Volunteer Development Co-ordinator & Education Liaison Officer Isla Campbell Lupton.

Curriculum areas which were focused on were literacy, numeracy, health & wellbeing, technologies and social studies.

The meet proved very popular with schools from all over Scotland signing in and asking lots of very astute questions about careers in charities.
