Stuart Proudfoot is 25 and from Kirkcaldy. When he was serving in Iraq, he was seriously injured in an IED explosion.

His jaw and cheekbone were shattered, his eardrum was perforated and he lost his lower front teeth. Poppyscotland was there to help Stuart deal with his physical scars. After numerous operations, Stuart was discharged from the Army and was awarded a house by the Scottish Veterans Garden City Association, a veterans housing charity that Poppyscotland recently supported with £1m worth of funding.
