Our Pledge

To anyone making or considering a gift to Poppyscotland in their Will these are our 10 promises to you:

1. To always respect your privacy. We recognise and appreciate that your Will is completely personal to you.
2. To acknowledge and respect that, rightly, your family and loved ones will always come first.
3. To recognise and respect that leaving a gift in your Will to Poppyscotland is your decision and you need to make it in your own time.
4. That sharing your decision is up to you. If you want to tell us you’ve left a gift or the reasons why, Poppyscotland would love to hear about it - but you don’t need to and we won’t keep asking.
5. That if you do choose to tell us, we will give you the choice about how often and in what way we talk to you in the future.
6. To respect and try to meet the wishes of you and your family about how and where your gift will be used by Poppyscotland to make a difference for veterans and their families in Scotland.
7. To use your gift carefully and cost effectively so that it has a the greatest impact for veterans and their dependants across Scotland.
8. To give you the opportunity to be connected with the work we do, that is made possible by gifts like yours.
9. That at any time in the future, you have the absolute right to change your mind about a gift in your Will to Poppyscotland.
10. That we will handle whatever gift you leave us not just efficiently, but also with care, sensitivity and respect.
