The Poppyscotland Hearts & Heroes Challenge is an exhilarating event that brings together the military and rugby communities for a day of camaraderie and friendly competition.
Teams of 4 to 7 test themselves to their limits over a breathtaking 29-mile section of The Southern Upland Way, from Tibbie Shiels to Melrose in the Scottish Borders. Each year for the past two years over 500 participants have faced the Challenge.
Whether they’re ‘in it to win it’ or if ‘it’s the taking part that counts’, the consensus is: “excellent event”, “really impressed”, “fantastic!” and “so friendly”!
Everyone has the option to complete three challenges - Bronze, (12 miles) Silver, (21 miles) or Gold, (29 miles) and if you enter for bronze you can always go for gold on the day ensuring the greatest sense of achievement possible. To walk or run alongside teams from military and rugby’s elite and to join the ranks of those who have already faced the Challenge and won, sign up for Hearts & Heroes 2011 today!
