Be the Boss (BTB) helps recent UK Service leavers to plan, fund and grow their own business by offering advice, guidance and funding.
The scheme offers up to £7,500 start-up costs and a maximum £30,000 growth funding to businesses trading under two years. Funding is part grant (25% of total funding) and part loan at 9.4% compound interest.
Applicants are required to complete an information training and guidance programme with an agreed enterprise agency to produce a comprehensive business plan and financial forecast. Specialised partners are available to provide training and assistance to applicants aged 18-25 or to disabled applicants.
