Poppyscotland is contributing £1 million towards a £6 million appeal to build new homes to meet the urgent accommodation needs of disabled veterans in Scotland.

The Scottish Veterans Garden City Association (SVGCA) Houses for Heroes appeal will deliver 60 new houses throughout Scotland, adding to their extensive stock of affordable rented accommodation for veterans disabled in past, current and future conflicts.

A new site in New Scone, comprising 10 flats, has been named ‘Poppy Court’ in recognition of our significant support to the appeal.

20 new homes have already been completed in Motherwell, Airdrie and Penicuik.
