Miss Scotland joins top boxing promoter to give early Christmas presents to veterans

Miss Scotland joined top Scottish boxing promoter Tommy Gilmour to present a substantial donation to Poppyscotland. Following a charity boxing show on 14th November run by St Andrew’s Sporting Club, the fantastic sum of £8,315 was raised.

What a difference a year makes

The close of 2011 is all but upon us. It’s hard to resist looking back at the last year’s events, but harder still to avoid spouting platitudes about them. So, with that in mind I’ll abjectly apologise for offering one straight away: 2011 has been a remarkable year for Poppyscotland. It really has.
