Poppyscotland is delighted to have won a Gold Award at Scotland’s annual prestigious marketing awards ceremony.
The 2010 Scottish Poppy Appeal campaign, Small things, big difference impressed the judges at the Marketing Society’s Star Awards in Glasgow on Thursday 19th May and took the top spot in the Cause-Related & Charity category.
The campaign was carried across advertising, PR, social media, online and retail. With a budget of just £30,000, generated over £500,000 worth of value and helped secure a record total of £2.34 million in donations to the 2010 Scottish Poppy Appeal.
The other nominees in the category were agencies Media Comm – Get on your bike, Tangible Edinburgh – Capturing an older generation for the organ donor register and the Union – Handbags & Gladrags. Poppyscotland’s campaign was the only one generated in-house and this makes the accolade even greater.
At the ceremony Poppyscotland was joined by Steve and Lyndsey Beedie, who featured in the special one-minute programmes, aired in November. Watch the one-minutes and the TV advert on our YouTube channel
