Poppyscotland has launched a new series of educational materials that will revolutionise the way pupils learn about veterans. Entitled, ‘Sowing the Poppy seed’, the materials will be used in Scottish schools to educate pupils about the importance of Remembrance and the issues that affect veterans in their communities today. The money you raise for Poppyscotland makes a real difference to the lives of veterans and their dependants in need in Scotland.
If your school would like to take part in the Scottish Poppy Appeal and has not been contacted directly, then please get in touch with us. We can provide poppies and collecting cans for your school.
Poppyscotland Fundraising Pack
We have created a simple fundraising ideas pack to help you to remember those who have served and also to raise much-needed funds for Poppyscotland. The pack includes a poster and a picture of a poppy, which you can download and print to promote your event, as well as lots of ideas to think about.
Free Promotional Materials
To help you with your fundraising we can supply Poppyscotland balloons to you, free of charge. In addition, we have a short Poppyscotland film which is suitable for showing to secondary school children at assembly or in class. Please email education@poppyscotland.org.uk with your requirements.
Poppyscotland raises money all year round for veterans and their dependants. if you would like to organise an event at any time of the year please get in touch - we are here to help you. We can organise a tour of Lady Haig's Poppy Factory, arrange for guest speakers to come to your school, we can provide support for your Poppy project, provide fundraising materials for events and volunteering opportunities.
