INTERVIEWEE/PARTICIPANT RESEARCHER

Self-employed, fee £1,800

We’re seeking a freelance researcher for our Veteran’s Voices project – a series of films each featuring an interview with a Scottish-resident war veteran of one of the conflicts from the Second World War on-wards. Veteran’s Voices is part of our Moving Poppy project, which is funded by HLF Scotland.

The Researcher will help to find interviewees for these films by following up on leads we provide and by generating new enquiries. The researcher will provide all contacts with an information pack and will liaise with the film maker at Concept&Graft to arrive at a final list of interviewees, and a schedule for filming.

The position is on a self-employed basis for an all-inclusive fee of £1800. We expect to complete two blocks of research for the two blocks of filming. We anticipate that the research will take place on a part time basis over the course of a month before each block of filming. There may also be a possibility for the researcher to attend the filming of the interviews in a paid capacity if schedules allow.

The successful applicant must be able to establish a trusting relationship with interviewees from all walks of life, and of all ages. They must have a solid working knowledge of social media networks. Written and verbal communication skills are paramount.

Interviews with the veterans will be in Glasgow in early January 2019.

The successful candidate will work from home.

Apply with a short CV and covering letter listing any relevant experience and two referees to dc@conceptandgraft.com.
