Poppyscotland is at the forefront of delivery of support to our Armed Forces community across Scotland. We reach out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families at times of crisis and need by offering vital, practical advice, assistance and funding.

Regional Fundraiser (West) – 35 hours per week
Based: Glasgow
Salary £24,480

The main responsibility of the Regional Fundraiser will be to continue to develop, implement and grow supporter-led fundraising across the West of Scotland. A critical part of this role is also to support our volunteer Poppy Appeal Area Organisers to maximise their local appeal totals.

Independent Living Advisers
Based: Scotland
Salary £26,500

The Independent Living Advisers will manage a caseload; providing person-centred advice, support and advocacy for members of the Armed Forces community who are living with, or caring for someone living with, long term illness, continuing care or disabilities and help them to access statutory support services, where appropriate.

This role will be home based and will involve regular travel across one of the two regions of Scotland as outlined in the Job Description. You may also have to work outside office hours as necessary.

Welfare Support Officers
Based: Scotland
Salary £26,500

The four newly created Welfare Support Officers will provide support and advocacy to vulnerable beneficiaries and or those identified as having multiple and complex needs. As well as develop and manage individual Support Plans, acting as point of contact for clients whilst working in collaboration with partner organisations to draw on inputs from a wide network of professionals, agencies and volunteers.

The Moving Poppy is a unique and ambitious project taking elements of Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory and Poppyscotland’s archive collection, highlights of Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory tour experience, interpretation and learning facilities on the road. The purpose-built vehicle will be free-to-access and accessible-to-all and will tour Scotland from early 2019 as a legacy to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. It will also support the centenaries of the first Poppy Appeal in 2021 and the opening of Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory in 2026. It will start conversations about the poppy, remembrance and veterans.

 

Moving Poppy Driver (FT & PT)
Based: Travel throughout Scotland
£25,000 per annum (FT) £12,500 per annum (PT)

Contract: Permanent annualised hours

We are recruiting one full-time and one part-time driver. The Moving Poppy Driver will undertake the operation, driving and route planning of the Moving Poppy vehicle throughout Scotland. The vehicle is an 18T truck, with expanding sides. They will also support the Moving Poppy Learning and Outreach Officer in the delivery of activities. This role will regularly involve nights away from home.

We are recruiting one Full-time and one Part-time Learning and Outreach Officer. The roles will involve performing all duties to ensure the smooth running of the Moving Poppy programme delivering lessons and activities related to the poppy, remembrance and veterans across Scotland. This role will regularly involve nights away from home.
