Supported by Poppyscotland, the Armed Services Advice Project (ASAP) is provided by Citizens Advice Scotland whose trained advisers are there to offer you specialist guidance on a wide range of issues including benefits, debt, housing and employment.
Of course, people from all walks of life need advice on these issues from time to time but members of the Armed Forces community - those who have served, those still serving, and their families - often have needs unique to their Forces experience so they need a slightly different type of support.
“The help I received from ASAP lifted an enormous weight off my shoulders and let me get on with my life.” – Frank
From the start of the service on 1 July 2010 to 30 September 2021, ASAP has supported a total of 19,149 individual clients with around 105,600 pieces of advice.
The client financial gain since the start of ASAP has been £20.7 million.
