Commemorative plans for the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands Conflict
In partnership with Legion Scotland, the Armed Forces and the Scottish Government, we have launched a programme of commemorative events to remember the conflict which took place between April and June 1982.
Across the UK events will take place between April and June 2022 to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands. The programme will culminate in a national parade and service of remembrance in Edinburgh on Saturday 18th June.

Scottish National Parade and Service of Remembrance
Forming up at 10am, the parade will leave Charlotte Square in Edinburgh at 10.15am on Saturday 18th June, heading to St Andrew Square for a service of remembrance and wreath laying ceremony. This will be followed by a 2-3 hour programme of entertainment with refreshments for the veterans in attendance.
The RBL event in Staffordshire
Falklands veterans and bereaved relatives will be invited to attend a UK-wide event at the National Memorial Arboretum on Tuesday 14 June, the anniversary of the ceasefire.
The event will be broadcast LIVE on our Facebook page from 2.50 - 3.10pm and will feature the Act of Remembrance at 3pm including a live link up to the Falkland Islands.
