Fundraising groups

Joining one of our established fundraising groups, or helping to set up a new one in your area, can be hugely rewarding.

We rely on people like you to help organise fundraising events and activities in the community. Our groups act as ambassadors for Poppyscotland, helping to spread the word about the work we do and encouraging and supporting local people, clubs and organisations to fundraise for us too. It's also a great way to meet new people.

Fundraising groups can raise money in many ways – whether you bake, cycle, collect or take part in events like the Kiltwalk, it’s completely up to you.

To create a new group, or to join an existing one, please fill in one of the two forms below.

Luzier Jeffrey, Tesco Shettleston Community Champion

“As a Community Champion for Tesco, fundraising is a huge part of my job. So far this year we have raised over £600 in our store! I know I always have the support of the Poppyscotland team with any questions or queries, and I feel very proud to be a part of such an amazing team. Fundraising for Poppyscotland is important as our Scottish veterans, and serving armed forces, need the support and our thanks for everything they have done for us.”

Amanda McNamara, Cardonald Fundraising Group volunteer

“Being part of a fundraising group boosts morale – everyone spurs one another on and, because you don’t want to let your team mates down, you push yourself more. Team fundraising in the community not only generates more cash through donations and sponsorship, but it also builds awareness that Poppyscotland is a charity that fundraises all year round, not just in November!”
