Hear, see and feel history come to life.
Learning from the past to never forget we can change the future.
For 100 years the poppy has been our national symbol of remembrance. Register your interest in visiting Lady Haig's Poppy Factory where 3 million poppies and 15,000 poppy wreaths are manufactured, meet the disabled veterans who make them and immerse yourself in the rich history and heritage of the poppy.
Poppy Factory tours
Open to individuals, groups and schools, our Poppy Factory tours explore the lives of the poppy; the people who found hope amidst the destruction of the First World War battlefields, those who dedicated their lives to supporting our Armed Forces community and the disabled veterans who work at the Factory today.
History of the factory
In 1926 Lady Haig established Lady Haig's Poppy Factory in the Canongate, Edinburgh, with two men and a pair of scissors.
After nearly 100 years, we're still providing employment support for disabled veterans. But a lot has changed.
